Boneless Oven Pork Ribs
Ideally, the more money you buy for something, it should definitely be the better product correct? Wrong. A lot of the time I see these outrageous prices at my local grocery store for beef ribs. Not only do they charge you by weight, but they charge you for the weight with the actual bone in it! I donβt know about you, but I do prefer working with pork ribs for regular family dinners.
1) I personally prefer the taste of fattier ribs
2) Theyβre cheaper, and do not have bones. So, cooking time is much less.
3) Since the cut for boneless pork ribs is basically carnitas, no need to deal with the crazy membrane of a regular beef rib. (Ew).
So lets get started with my Boneless Oven Pork Ribs
3-5 pounds of boneless pork ribs
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of your choice of oil
2 bottles of your favorite bbq sauce
Salt and Pepper
Directions:
-Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and make sure your middle oven rack is ready for use
-Get a baking dish with high walls (your pork ribs will produce a lot of fluids while baking!), and line with baking foil
-Take your boneless pork ribs and take a teaspoon of oil and rub it into your ribs
-Salt and pepper both sides
-Wash your hands and in a bowl mix 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, and stir
Liberally season your boneless pork ribs and lay onto your baking dish
-Cover your ribs with foil and bake for two hours at 300 degrees fahrenheit
-After two hours, lower your temperature to 250 degrees.
- Take it out carefully and drain your ribs
- Take a brush and brush on one bottle of bbq sauce on both sides, and bake your ribs uncovered for an hour.
- After an hour, take out your ribs and brush on the rest of your bbq sauce.
- Take out your ribs and pair with mashed potatoes, or some roasted corn!
Tips:
If you want a more hickory/smoky taste in your ribs, add LIQUID SMOKE to your bbq sauce
If you would prefer a sweeter taste to your ribs, add in honey or sugar to your bbq sauce!
Use the drippings from the your pork ribs and leave it in a cup and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of water to a pan and stir on high heat. Add 1 teaspoon of corn starch and 1 teaspoon of flour and create a roux. Add your drippings and stir and add in black pepper to create a pork gravy for your mashed potatoes!
