Meal Prep Air Fryer Wings

I really don’t see as to why wings can’t be part of the meal prep routine. They’re easy to cook, difficult to eat fast, and don’t need much seasoning. I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t a huge fan of the air fryer, it made things dry and tasteless, and sometimes it would unevenly cook things. BUT, these Meal Prep Air Fryer Wings are something you can toss up on a Monday morning and air fry within the hour to have your food for the week. I like eating a lot of vegetables with my wings so I enjoy a good flavor, but I didn’t want to go to the store for any new crazy seasonings either, so I made sure to just use ingredients that you should have in your pantry already! I’ve realized, given a second chance, I was the toxic one of this relationship and just needed to learn my air fryer’s love language. Keeping things in a single level creates for even cooking, and low and slow then a high temperature at the end will give you a good crisp! Wow. I am no longer the dick that hates air fryers. I am also the dick that doesn’t have to waste half a gallon of oil cooking wings now.

Ingredients Refrigerated:
1-2 pounds of drumettes and wings
I recommend getting the ones precut!

Baking and Spices:
1 tablespoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
1 tablespoon of old bay seasoning
1 teaspoon of salt

Oils and Vinegars:
6 tablespoons of olive oil

I have a pretty small personal air fryer so just to make sure I do not crowd the pan (which is why sometimes it cooks unevenly), I was able to cook only four wings at a time (smaller than 3.5 quartz)

This is a a good air fryer to purchase if you are looking for one. It is great in size and extremely reliable! I do get a small commission for suggested products when you buy them through my link, BUT I do believe having an air fryer, and knowing how to use it is definitely worth the purchase.

Pair them with anything!

Pair them with anything!

Directions:

  1. Take out your wings and pat them dry

  2. In a bowl, mix your 6 tablespoons of olive oil

  3. Add your 1 tablespoon of black pepper, 1 tablespoon of onion powder, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon of old bay seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of salt and stir

  4. In a large ziploc bag, add your wings (there should be enough room to shake it with air, if not, use two bags)

  5. Shake your bag

If you plan on cooking it later on or the next day, take out the air and leave in the fridge

  6. Massage your chicken (hehe)

  7. And I like adding aluminum foil to the bottom of my basket and add your chicken

  8. Make sure it is one even layer, set it to 400 degrees and cook for 15 minutes

  9. Set aside to let cool
